Amazing that you can get health answers from US doctors for free. And after getting a free answer, you can make a virtual appointment with a specialist, or drop in to a primary care doctor visit without any waiting.

I rarely go out of my way to write reviews. I am because I had such a good experience with this group. I had tried Dr on demand about a month ago for a very small matter. I wound up spending 25 minutes on the video chat with a Dr who just kept telling me to go to the ER. I had to explain over and over why that was not gonna happen and could she please just give me some antibiotic. After finally convincing her to give me antibiotics, called in completely wrong on. This was so different with Health Tap. Two minutes on video chat, right medication called in. Simple and to the point. Way it should be. I would highly recommend.

****** Read this before using it as your primary source of medical information So if you have a very basic question/problem I guess this site might help but Im not sure. For me personally, I had concerns about a medication interactions and have had to ask the same question several times but have yet to get a helpful answer. The answers usually are from a general practitioner who does not have any experience or training with my problems. I understand that you get why you pay for, so if its free it maybe it doesnt have to be perfect. But medicine and health are serious things and I found some really questionable information/responses on their site. It boiled down to three issues: Doctors not reading the question: it happened to me and I saw it around the site. A girl was asking about pregnancy prevention and the doctor wrote this horrible long response on how she shouldnt want to get pregnant so young and no one will ever help her do it. Just to add icing on the cake it was written in a condescending tone. Overall he completely misread the question and went over-the-top ranting about something that has nothing to do with the question. How exactly did he become an MD without learning to read. Doctors incorrectly answer questions: I am trying to avoid details in this one cause it was a sensitive topic. The question was pretty straightforward in my opinion (it was about the female reproductive system). And his answer was something that the majority of women know is untrue. I couldnt understand how he could be so ignorant then I saw he was a PCP and his specialties are all things that do with men. Why was he answering that question when he didnt know? Why couldnt he take 5 mins to google it for the correct answer? Doctors not taking responsibility and telling people to "go talk to your doctor". This one doesnt even need an explanation so Ill be quick. The whole point of this app is to ask doctors questions. If the doctor doesnt know, then why not let someone that does answer? I never paid but Im sure those who do are not happy with that response. Overall, I would be skeptical about using their paid services since their free services are extremely flawed. It goes without saying that I think that even WebMD is more reliable/useful. If they are messing up these simple things than whats going to happen if you try to talk to a doctor about a real issue. I thought I was going to give 2 stars, but o have had to change it to 1.

I used this the other night and had a very good experience. The Dr I chose and got was knowledgeable and helpful. He asked very good questions, asked my opinion on things and came up with a prescription combo that we were both happy with. It seems to me that in this environment Drs are more relaxed and focused on helping you, not worrying about the 15 other patients they need to see or the charts they need to sign. I will use Healthtap again.

Easy to use, friendly knowledgable doctors and great site and follow up . I had almost immediate access and the visit was also fast but not hurried . I think it was much better , more focused on my needs than an in office visit. Great buy for what you get and how easy it is . No more going through layers of people to get to the doctor or back through the layers for follow up, instructions etc. My visit was in the evening and prescription was at my local pharmacy in a half hour. I got a checklist and medication instructions. The next day I got an email asking if I was following the instructions or had questions . I can see my care record at any time , history, medicines etc . This fits my busy life style. I did not have to be off a half day to go to the doctor, and didnt have to wait for an appointment I needed right then .

So Im a hypochondriac, and instead of googling things HealthTap gets me a real answer in a relatively low amount of time. Love the app and website!

Do not waste your money ! Youre better off doing the free basic consultation because once they get your money they will either not give you a consultation or do one without your knowledge & not give your money back like they promised! Go to a real doctor in person & stop wasting your money on this dumb app!

Some Doctors give straight answers to a direct question where as I found many didnt answer the question at all. I felt one Dr answered my question so well that I tried to connect with him. When I called the office to get an appointment, I was informed thIs "Dr is no longer with the company" and the type of laugh that came after the statement gave me the impression that the doctor was a fake

Just a realy good organised application that helps people around the world, even tho its free

Had a fantastic experience treating an infection last weekend. Took 15 minutes and saved me a very expansive trip to urgent care. This app should be on everyones phone.

Easy to get answers to any health question

Nice to be able to see a doctor from home. They take insurance and I can get my prescription without having to go into the office (my physician is in my hometown which is a hassle to make a trip to every time)

I was able to connect and video chat with a doctor instantly this past weekend and my experience was amazing. Much better doing it from home and gave me great advice!! 5 Stars

This app truly works & easy to use. Within minutes of downloading app I was able to get on a live video chat with a specialists on a weekend for less than a typical co-pay. Had no problem getting medication prescribed via the consultation. Quality of the medical providers are on point, and even follow up with you. GIs, Cardiologists, fam practice, theyve got all disciplines available. Give it a try, Im glad I did.

This app seems to be too good to be true- an online consultation with a medical specialist for $50-$100. Dont fall for it- drs appear to be real but they dont respond and you dont get a refund but instead a "HealthTap credit" for a new consultation. I literally tried to do This 4 times- and no doctor responded and it was a 10 day process during which I could have seen 4 doctors in real life. A great idea that only works if you actually get to talk to a dr which is the missing element here.
